Being FIV+ scares some people, but cat savvy humans know it’s easy peasy to live with and our feline pals enjoy long, healthy indoor lives. All Slinky needs now is an indoor home where he can work through his emotional scars from his days on the streets of Sheridan. He adores his foster brother, and greets him with loving cat noises when he sees him. He will thrive in a quiet home with patient peeps and siblings, best without children as his past trouble has created a fear of being picked up. In addition to what Slinky told you, he’s been micro-chipped, FIV/FeLV tested and is UTD on all vaccines. There is a $45 re-homing fee. A prior recent adoption did not work out due to be left outdoors, so a safe indoor home is the best solution for this wonderful, ready to be loved, fuzz-face, but he’d really, really love a catio where he could bathe in the sun would be the cat’s meow! Sweet Jasper was the ‘apartment complex stray’. He was being fed and loved by a couple people and even had his own little outdoor house. The problem? Jasper wants to be inside and that was not an option for these kind people. When it seemed like he was not feeling well they took him to the vet and discovered he had a very badly infected tooth – and was FIV+. That meant Jasper really needed to be an indoor kitty, and immediate care. We were asked to step in and help.  Jasper needed help ASAP.  Jasper just had three teeth pulled – one was abscessed so badly it was one of the worst the vet had ever seen.  He is recovering at Animal Care Clinic – with staggering odds against being adopted.

As special as he is, Jasper is estimated to be 14 years old, FIV+ and is also hyperthyroid (controlled with special food). So….here is our challenge to you….do you have room in your heart to offer Jasper a loving forever home?  Jasper will be ready for foster care in a few days at Barb’s home, you can call/text her if you just can’t resist this chance at forever love.  360-953-7750. If you can’t adopt Jasper, but would like to help him, you can follow the link on this page to Animal Care Clinic and make a donation to help with Jasper’s medical expense. The funds will be applied to Jasper’s bill.
